As for Hard Boiled Cultures, I didn’t actually buy it yet, but I’m going to tonight or tomorrow. I think the essence of my excitement comes from your description of what the product does. Being able to take a cultural archetype and give it depth and nuance really appeals to me. I especially like the notion that you have actual mechanical support for playing up the cultural nuances.

Rich and I already planned to play 4E sometime soon, based on the fact that it’s getting such good buzz from people we respect. But for me it was more a notion of doing it so I’d have the experience of playing it, not really because I WANT to. But something about this has sparked actual interest.

After I buy the pdf and read it, if anything else grabs me I’ll sure let you know. But I’m also sure I’ll be mentioning all of this stuff on Canon Puncture next week.
